In Ad Pirum we are following the cultural – world view and architectural directions formed during the study at the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Ljubljana and through the work experiences in Slovenia and around the World.

The basic guide lines are in accordance with the sustainable development and realized through cultural heritage renewal in the broadest sense and revitalization of old rural and urban settlement nucleuses .

Just as we are approaching preservation and restoration with expertise and sensitivity for the architectural heritage we design comfortable living and working environment combining up to date technologies and materials with creativity.

Our mission has been carried out through two units. First one is headed by Dr. Darko Likar and deals with the development and renewal of architecture. Second one is headed by Katja Cimperman and is devoted to architectural design.

Projects

Re Urban Mobil WP4, Bologna CSA
For the Faculty of Architecture and commissioned by Prof. Peter Fister Ad Pirum made a comparative study for a project Re Urban Mobil WP4 of European Commission. The study compares two areas of Bologna (Italy) and historic part of Ljubljana involving 1500 buildings.

Expert instruments for comprehensive revitalization of the historic centres of the city of Koper. The project was concluded before the formal establishment of Ad Pirum, but was carried out by it’s co-founder member, Dr. Darko Likar, aided by other to-be founders of Ad Pirum.
